European Parliament Elections 23rd May 2019.

Clearly the 2019 European Election has been disappointing for Labour.

However, a very big thank you to all who voted Labour and good news that Claude Moraes and Seb Dance have been re-elected as Labour MEP’s for London. Labour MEP’s achieving in Europe.

A key take away statistic from these elections is that parties with a clear position on Brexit did well and that votes cast in total for pro-remain parties exceeded votes cast for pro-leave parties. This was very much the case for the Bromley vote count:-

  • Pro-remain vote (LD + Green + ChangeUK):  43.6%
  • Pro-leave vote (Brexit + UKIP):  33.7%
