Stephen Morgan

Stephen Morgan PPC for OrpingtonStephen Morgan is the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency of Orpington.

Stephen was born and raised in Orpington. He was born on 1st June 1977 at Farnborough hospital and grew up in Wade Avenue. Stephen attended Ramsden Infant and Junior schools and then Ramsden School for Boys. He was at Ramsden when it became the Priory School and finished his A-Levels there before going to University in Liverpool to read politics.

After returning to Orpington, Stephen worked for a number of organisations including Lambeth SHAD, a disabled charity; The Fawcett Society, an equalities group; and for Bridget Prentice MP who represents Lewisham East. In 2004 Stephen left the UK and went to work for the Democrat party in the USA. He worked on Senator John Kerry’s Presidential bid, and for Representative Stephanie Herseth in South Dakota. In 2005 Stephen returned to the UK and began working for the Trade Union & Labour Party Liaison Organisation, who work to strengthen links between the Labour Party and the Trade Union movement. Last year Stephen moved to work as a researcher at the Greater London Authority.

Since 2006 Stephen has been working as a Councillor in Lambeth, where his family are from, representing Kennington & Vauxhall.
