Progress for Labour in May elections
The elections on Thursday 5 May saw the defeat of Alternative Voting System in the national referendum, a big Labour recovery in England, poor results for Labour in Scotland, and heavy Liberal Democrat losses throughout the UK. Labour can be quietly satisfied, but must avoid complacency.
