Recently Labour’s Orpington Parliamentary Candidate Stephen Morgan challenged the Orpington Tory’s on Safer Neighbourhood Police teams. Stephen Morgan said:

“With only days to go before the General Election Conservatives across London, including here in Orpington, still refuse to say where they stand on the Tory mayor’s failure to protect the neighbourhood police guarantee for police teams in Orpington. Labour will ensure that frontline policing is protected but the Conservatives won’t match this guarantee. Their silence in Orpington speaks volumes. Voters need to know from every Conservative candidate in London whether they back our safer neighbourhood police teams but the Conservatives would threaten the safety of our streets by refusing to match our commitment to frontline policing.”
