Remembrance Sunday
On Sunday I attended the Remembrance Parade at Orpington War Memorial to lay a wreath on behalf of Orpington Labour Party.
The fair weather brought out at a large crowd to watch the moving ceremony.
This year I was struck by the thought that millions of people were involved in thousands of similar ceremonies around the world. As we approach the 100th Remembrance Sunday, I can only hope that there will come a day when there are no new names on the memorials.
