Michael Meacher on Climate Change
Michael Meacher gave this year’s Ron Huzzard Memorial Lecture on the subject of Climate Change.
Michael gave an excellent summary of the threat to our environment posed by global warming and the state of world action to address the problem.
It would be hard to pick a more qualified speaker – as environment minister, Michael helped negotiate the 1997 Kyoto Protocol for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This was proved when Michael answered audience questions for more than an hour, giving detailed and compelling answers in every case.
